When Your Spirit Starts Asking for More

There will come a time in your life when the noise around you gets too loud, worldly expectations get too heavy, and the version of you that once fit so neatly inside this world suddenly feels too small. You wake up one day and realize you’ve been living inside a story that no longer honors who you are becoming.

No, it won’t happen all at once. It will suddenly start hitting you quietly, the moment you sit still and block out all the worldly noise that doesn’t make sense anymore.

In the middle of conversations where you feel yourself shrinking from the parakeeting voices. In the middle of a day where you’re doing everything “right” but still feel empty. In the middle of a moment where your soul whispers, I can’t keep living like this”.

Well, this whisper will be the beginning of your becoming. Your spirit knows it’s time to rise. It knows when you’ve outgrown the “no longer needed rooms, and company” you’ve been sitting in. It knows when you’ve been carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, the weight of other people’s comfort at the expense of your own truth. And it will not stay silent forever.

You know, there is a sacred discomfort that comes before every transformation - a stretching, a pulling, a subtle unraveling of the life you built from survival instead of alignment. At some point, you will start noticing the places where you’ve been dimming your light. You start feeling the ache of the dreams you buried. You start hearing the truth you’ve been circling in your head.

I write this truth from lived experience. These feelings are not a breakdown. This is a breakthrough in slow motion.

Your spirit is not asking you to burn your life down. It’s asking you to stop abandoning yourself inside the fire and fight your way through. It’s asking you to stop settling for conversations that drain you. Stop accepting love that confuses you. Stop pretending you’re fine when your soul is starving.

Your spirit is asking for more - not more things, not more noise, not more pressure - but more “you.”

More honesty.

More softness.

More boundaries.

More rest.

More truth.

More alignment.

More of life that feels like yours, not someone else’s.

The moment you stop resisting that call, everything will begin to shift and line up. Not because the world changes, but because you do.

You stop apologizing for your needs.

You stop negotiating your worth.

You stop shrinking to fit into places you were meant to outgrow.

You will rise slowly, quietly, and powerfully - more into the person you were always meant to discover and become. You will come home to “YOU”. You must shed the mask, let go, and put that one foot forward. Only you can do it, and you can.

If you’re feeling this pull, this ache, this inner stretching….you’re not lost. You’re not failing, and you’re not falling apart. You’re falling into place, into alignment. YOU’RE AWAKENING! And, awakening always begins with a whisper that says, “There is more for you than this. Let go and let it happen. Let your mind and body connect for peace and harmony.”

Before we move into the tool, I want you to pause for a moment. Everything you’ve read here isn’t meant to overwhelm you; it’s meant to awaken something inside you. And awakening is only the beginning. What comes next is learning how to listen to the part of you that’s finally ready to speak. So, if any part of this stirred something in you - a memory, a truth, a discomfort, a longing - don’t ignore it. That feeling is your spirit tapping you on the brain and shoulder, warning you to “Pay attention.” This is where your healing begins.”

Mini Tool: The Soul Alignment Scan

Ask yourself:

Where in my life am I pretending I’m okay because of being afraid of what changing it will require?

Your first answer will be the truth. Everything after that is fear.

Reflection Prompt

What part/parts of you are nudging you to be seen, heard, or honored by “you”, right now - even if it scares you? Let your answer rise without judgment.

Soul Exercise: The One Brave Shift

Choose one area where your spirit is asking for more - is it love, rest, boundaries, creativity, purpose, etc.

Then make one brave shift today:

  • Say the things or things you’ve been holding in

  • Rest without guilt

  • Set one boundary

  • Release one obligation

  • Take one step toward the life you want

  • Tell yourself one truth you’ve been avoiding

Transformation doesn’t begin with a leap. It begins with a single brave moment of honesty.

Congratulations on your transformation! Relax. Release. Let it happen.

Closing with love and light.
